Or with a nice bit of white Stilton :y :y

Thats a new one on me and swmbo....must be a northern thing ;)

Not that Northern! If you put Stilton on my mince pie plate I'd punch you.

I have a worrying mince pie problem though - I prefer the bargain basement, Smartprice, cheapo pies to any posh fancy ones.

Pleb  ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D We eat Yorkshire pud as a starter :y :y

I've seen that on programmes like All Creatures, etc :o

The idea was that it filled you up so you only needed a small dinner, bit like all the suet dishes....good old fashioned proper food............... :y :y :y

Hi all just finished making several hundred mince pies to sell in the shop. All hand crafted and made of shortbread not pastry, but It's worth the effort for the quality of the product. Rolling out and handling shortbread is like trying to plait fog :o, good job I've had plenty of practice at it, I think I've "gone off" mince pies  ;)

mince pies in shortbread
how strange
i want
any tips?|recipes?
