....
For cruise aficionados the new BMWs not only apply the brakes to maintain set speed they also have a 10mph jump function - entering a 40 from a 30 - just one click.  Brilliant.

Similar to My Merc ..... 5 mph jump though  ;) (MB forum rave about Distronic ..... that's not fitted to mine  :'( )

My guess is we would be surprised at how many would happily jump into a car , press a button for destination and do no driving at all  ::)

Yep, I use cruise a lot as well.

Set to legal speed limit where speed cameras are present, set to whatever is displayed on the gantry on average speed monitoring zone and sometimes just to get the circulation back in my legs on the motorway.  :y

The thing I find un-predictable are rain sensing wipers, which I am constantly over-ruling.
they could do with the one-touch function still available, without having to set the washers off and the wipers for 3strokes. They do seem to nod off.

Although the omega ones are way better than on her old 07 golf td. They'd go off for no reason on a bright sunny day, and not come on at all when pressing down. Random sensing wipers more like.

You name it, and the Insignia's got it ;)
Handling. The Insignia is reasonably good, but not a patch on a 15yr old Omega.
A proper handbrake, even if the Omega's one is shit, its still better than the tripe the Insignia has.

i bet it hasnt got as much cash left in the bank as the omega has.

what year and  model is it?

2011 SE Nav Sports Tourer.
Christ almighty 11k used from a dealer according to parkers.

i should hope it makes custard as well for that money.

2k more and thats vxr8 territory.

Bah...I'll keep my 8k in the bank thanks. WWD indeed.

Depreciation. The Insignia will be worth about a bag of chips in a few years time ::) ::)

Then we can all buy them and belong to the Insigniaowners Forum! ;D ;D ;D ;)
I may have already said that the replacement for my Omega may well be an Insignia diesel :(.

Yup, me.

As long as, when the mood takes me, I could jump back in the drivers seat.
