hey guys,how many of you have an ex plod car and cant get the interior light to work,i took out the roof lining today coz am gonna put in a replacement,and found why it dont work,so after a bit of testing,i got them to work and even the delay works,so chuffed with myself.

ok here goes,take out interior light and pull the wiring as far as you can,unless you want to go behing the roof lining at the n/s visor,but disconnect the plug from the light,you should have a grey/black tracer wire at the plug with a red wire attached to it,if you find the other end of the grey/black wire its got a black wire attached to it,now all i did was to cut the red and black wires and join them together and the light works,through the switch,ignition off, open the door lights came on,close door,delay worked,map lights work,so alls good

because i had the roof lining out,i found the red and black wires behind it at the sun visor cut of course,but think they must have a switch connected to it somewhere,but just cut the wiring to get rid of.

drivers pillar houses all the wiring for roof lights etc.
