Heater fan no action
« on: 09 January 2013, 14:54:42 »

Hi guys. Please help. I have had the dreaded scuttle drain blockage and water got in to the speed controller causing the heater to stay on permanantely. Had it replaced with a new one and normal service was resumed. A week later when I got in there was no heat. The facia lights up but no action from the fan.
So far I have checked all fuses, done the 20 second reset and had the glove box out looking for obvious loose wires. Where should I go next. Are there any simple tests I can do to check the fan motor in situ?
Please help as its getting cold !
Many thanks.

Thanks. Will do. I guess it is the two wires that come from the speed controller. Do I need to disconnect the fan motor from the speed controller. Or can I simply attach a live feed to the red terminal.
Thanks again
