Potentially you can, but there are a couple of different sized/shaped cards, so best to ask first :y

Alternatively, you might be able to set up a local, personal hotspot that you can then connect the Tablet to :y this is what I do, but you need an unlimited download tariff if you wish to rip the arse out of ituse it alot :y

I do tether my tablet to my galaxy s sometimes, Al, but the signal seems unreliable. Also, the download speed is slow compared to wifi. I'm just thinking out loud really, for future reference. Don't know if you read my BT thread yesterday, but I'm becoming heartily pissed off with big companies in general and am thinking of going into caveman mode.
You can watch me on 'Doomsday preppers' on discovery channel.  ;D

When I saw the title I was hoping you were going to ask how many you should take.My answer was going to be "all of them,at the same time".  :P

Provided its not a micro sim, should fit. A quick google on yours phones and the tablets specs should help.

But I tether mine, on the rare occassions I'm not near wifi on a tablet.

If you have a mobile I don't see the need for a 3G enabled tablet. Either tether via hot spot. Or just use the mobile. But depends in your needs I guess.

Save money, buy a WiFi only tablet. Many Apps for smartphones now will allow you to create a WiFi personal hot spot, then just connect your tablet to that  :y

You might want to get a big/unlimited data bolt-on for the phone  :y

Your not going to see any signal improvement from a tablet with 3g when compared to a phone with the same. In fact  using a phone with tethering gives you the option to place the phone in a spot with better reception

Yeah, but is the tether bluetooth or WiFi? I have no issues with speed if I do a WiFi hotspot on my iPhone to my laptop, decent browsing speeds if on 3G.

Assuming your tether is good, its no faster having on-board SIM on the same network.
