Ive been cleaning, painting and decorating, we've got a new tenant moving in to one of the properties tomorrow.

tomorrow it looks like im going to london and back twice (bloody kids who,d ave em) but as long as i get to see the chinese motogp and find time for a blat on 2 wheels,i suppose i can live with it. ::)

Painting, gardening.......and buying a new rather printer because the old one has just given up the ghost.

Reserve and collect......for the first time ever PC world were the cheapest.

They tried to sell me an extended warranty and accidental damage cover.........I just laughed when they said about it so they got the idea pretty quickly!

Ow yes.....the rather thing didn't work when I got it home either.......so I had to fix it.

Turns out there was a minor assembly issue and the contacts for one of the ink tank PROMS was not correctly clipped into the casing......so soon fixed that!

Thats ok then  ;D I had visions of you asking technical questions about various printers, that you already knew the answer to.......but the salesperson wouldnt have a clue about   ::);D

Did you know I NEVER get offered extended warrantee - could it be my knowleage or the fact I look broke

I would not dismantle as I would not have been able to swap it.

We had an Epsom we scrapped due to spares costing almost as much as the printer, so I got a Canon IP5000, which prints on DVDs ect, not quite as good a photo printer but better at everything else.

No need to dismantle, simply a case of identifying the fault and then usinga suitable tool to click the contacts correctly into place.
