Transit steering pump probs assuming cold weather?
« on: 17 January 2013, 15:57:21 »

Firstly it is VERY cold!

My transit 02 reg this morning sounded very loud on the steering pump when turning the wheels on the drive, then when I went round the first corner the noise and vibration was rather alarming!

I am assuming the fluid is congealed? (excuse the spelling if incorrect!  ::) )

I wonder if there's moisture in the fluid, which is starting to freeze?

Might be worth a fluid change, perhaps?

Maybe but I will wait for warmer weather now! As can't fit it in garage!
