By all means put it into the For Sale Section (if you have the correct post count).... but all these cars people are putting in For sale that are on ebay is crazy....
Is there anyway it can be stopped? >:(

I must agree here ... it's getting very messy, and more non-omega sales turning up as well.. :(

The only good thing I suppose is it keeps the ebay links away from General Chat - which is where they would all end up  :(

Several forums I belong to have a separate "spotted on ebay" section in the For sale / wanted area. It seems to work well.

I agree -- this would be a tidy solution. If you stopped them altogether someone might miss a rare gem they might otherwise have been interested in

Its open to too much abuse - people will be posting up their own auctions  :-/

If a member of the forum has a car for sale fair play post it on here, if it isn't an Omega I think an Admin should be asked permission before posting it... as this is an Omega Forum

I agree.  There is an increasing amount of this and its a bit tiresome.  

I don't think we want hard and fast rules on it though.  Certainly if something unusual - the hideous orange pickup comes to mind -  turns up I think its fair enough to point it out, but not standard cars please.

I agree that it should be limited to Omegas. I'm in other similar forums (mainly cycling) and the general rules on the Classifieds and eBay seem to be:

  • Only post relevant items (Omegas and or Omega parts)
  • Each thread's title line for an eBay item should start with "EBAY:"
  • Items (Omegas, or Omaga parts) should only be advertised if it is your sale
  • There must be limit of it being the last day of the sale (i.e. less than 24hrs to go)
