Manifold gasket
« on: 05 May 2008, 09:08:57 »

Once again a problem with a leaking manifold gasket has cropped up (TD's) So, once again I ask the question: Apart from the "ticking" when cold, what harm can be caused and, if it seals once the engine is hot, is it an MOT failure?

Its unlikely to be an MOT fail as long as its not to bad as to affect emmisions.

As to damage, carbon is a pretty effctive cutting agent and the heads can get eaten away a little as a result (normaly sands out though)
