Fault code P0170
« on: 29 January 2013, 00:01:43 »

Hi all. EML came on today on the way home, showing the following code:

P0170 Fuel Trim Malfunction Bank 1

What is the best course of action? If it helps, the freeze frame data is shown in the following photos:

I was running on LPG at the time. Any help much appreciated

Cheers

Check the calibration of the LPG. Long Term Fuel Trim looks high - ideally this needs to stay around 0%. V6's bring on the EML around 25%.

I have been thinking it needs a recalibration, especially after the HG has been changed.

Anybody up North area (Leeds) any good with the BiGAS system and software which I have?  The kit was bought from Tinley Tech, and whilst their customer service is excellent and they will help you as much as they can, my knowledge is rapidly exceeded on they system and I just get confused!  I have all the leads and software, just need some expertise!  Happy to travel if that helps!
