2.5td for the rollers in about 4 hours time.
« on: 02 February 2013, 06:43:59 »

as above have got in with a rolling road day lol with an MG group but could care less as it works out at only 20 a run from a reputable company.  This is my 1st rolling road so am a bit nervous about results.  Shes a 2.5td with LSD, 5 speed manual and tuning box.  The tuning box was a bargan off a mate for 60 and i'll tell you something it makes a very noticeable difference.  Anyways i also had a leak from all diesel returns from the injectors now fixed and is starting in the cold better than a petrol :-), have done oil and filters and filled the tank with that bp ulimate super diesel.

So heres fingers crossed for a good result and no embrasment.  Will post this evening when i get home how she went

Yea, have a fun day, a lot of people frown on tinning boxes but they can pump up the power, we managed nearly 200 bhp from a BM 325 SE with a 2.5TD lump with various tried tuning boxes on the Track, although must admit the Engine didn't last forever.  ;)

Have you tweaked with the Turbo at all.?

Very very dissapointed.  The power curve was perfect with no spikes and smooth with peak power at 3500rpm.  As stated above the tuning blx has made a noticeable difference as she was dead before.  Got 137bhp and 205lb/ft torque.  It has a boost leak from the rubber pipe going into the inlet so have upgraded he pipe and used industerial jublee clips designed for quarry screeners.

The tuning box came from a tried and tested car so its my wagon has some other issue.  I had replaced all diesel return pipes on he injectors as all were leaking but are all sound now and she s starting like a champion.  There is some other issue, maybe another boost leak somewhere or a ticky turbo but he nex4 couple of weeks will be spents figuring it out and getting it sorted.

No tuning except the box.

Quick question, has anyone replaced there black box that says turbo diesel on it with the tiny intercooler from the rover?
