Excellent work! Not just his technical ability but his ability to impart some feeling into his subjects. This is something even more strange in a way as I believe he has aspergers where commonly "aspies" find socialising extremely difficult and typically find it hard to both "read" emotions in others as well as demonstrate them themselves. Maybe it is simply that he is so focused and so good at copying the photographs he uses that if the original photo demonstrates that life-like quality than he is able to replicate it, whereas if the photo did not hold any emotional content then neither would his drawing of it. This in no way detracts from his ability however and wish him all the best :y
 
ps SWMBO reckons she saw a programm where he was taken up in a helicopter to see london from above and was subsequently able to demonstrate a photographic memory in his drawing of what he had seen
