autojumbles
« on: 03 February 2013, 13:02:01 »

Looking at visiting some autojumbles over the coming year, so was wondering if anyone has comments on the following:

Scorton (near Catterick)
Newark
Murton (York auction centre)
Rufforth
Huddersfield

are there any others recommended (or not) within, say, a couple of hours drive of Leeds?

VBOA is a little bit far - 115 miles, 2.5hrs in my transit.
But... it doesn't start until 10, so I don't have to get up at ridiculous o'clock

I will add it to my diary - thanks very much!

It depends on what you're after-assuming you're after buying-the only one on your list that I've experience of is Newark.Whilst it usually covers a good sized area I've always found it to be more biased towards motorbikes and related stuff than towards cars.

I'm after buying - but engineering tools and tooling, rather than car bits.
I may end up selling eventually - mrs egg says I need to get rid of some crap toys :.((

They have them at Ripon Racecourse a few times a year, usually along side a classic car event....... :y :y

There is another one near Ripon, also a show, on a large estate, Ripley Castle iirc...... :y
