Still no discounts for existing subscribers then :'(
Doubt that will happen TBH, as its a ploy to sucker people in. Like year 1 insurance quotes.

Yeah I know, but no harm in asking ::)
Best bet is to ring them up and cancel. Be prepared to go through with it though, as they are quite good at judging. If no joy, go through with cancellation - they will call you back. If they don't, just resubscribe

Why try to cancel? We all know what it costs. Why should it be cheaper for some?  If you think it's worth the money, keep it, if not, then really cancel.

As said, if they get to point of cutting off, just resubscribe. At worse, you'll be without it for a few days.

there is no doubt that sky provide the best telly but some of us just cant aford it even though i would like to sorry tunnie

I'll have to get you one of my 50% discount code:D

Where Sky are doing very well is the bundles, you get broadband & phone, then for a small extra price you get standard TV pack.

Where it gets expensive is if you have Sports & Movies.

As staff I get the whole lot as a freebie, priced it up once on the retail site few years ago, came to over £100/month!  :o  ;D

Best? Most compehensive, certain. But most of the stuff I record is on BBC 4 anyway. Hence, not best for me. But fully understand thats its best for some/many :)
Aye? Since when was "not best for you" a criteria for anything ?

Man Utd are the best premier league team currently, the fact you support Villa doesn't alter the points table. Like it or not ;D
One has to learn to accept that others may have a different view. Even when they are clearly wrong.
No problem with that, glad to see your finally seeing sense. ;D ;)

Keep waiting, don't bother with their TiVo service, their standard boxes are just as poor and slow to use.

Cost wise similar to Sky, only worth considering Virgin if you have cable in the area. Their ADSL setup is shite
