New Insignia
« on: 13 February 2013, 15:37:02 »

My wife has just been explaining over the phone how when she was reversing, the mirrors moved and she had to bend them back manually. :-X

I think I give up.

handbrake is only thing on which we have clarity of purpose and use. we had an incident last week when she could make phone calls but not receive them on the integrated blue tooth. The Lana del Ray cd is working though.

For those of us who are befuddled, please explain about the mirrors and parking brake.

They have a stupid, gay electronic handbrake, at only serves to frustrate (and absolutely bloody useless for doing U-turns - not that the Omega one is any good), and silly mirrors that dip down when reversing, which simply isn't necessary on a non 4x4/people carrier.

The only frustating thing about it so far is the Sat Nav.

Whilst it has enough memory to hold the whole of Europe, each map for each country comes on a separate CD, and overwrites the memory each time you load, so you can only have one country on at a time (unless you have the DVD800 system).

Mines the CD500.

Why is that an issue though...? Ime having every European address listed just means it takes longer to find the address you want. :-\

It takes about 20/25 mins to load the maps, and erase the maps that are already loaded.

So, still far better off with a Tom Tom. ;)

Could be right, but I quite like the way it's built into the car.

Takes into account towing a caravan as well :y
