Weird Alarm
« on: 13 February 2013, 20:34:15 »

Can anyone tell me why I have a faint alarm noise coming from my engine area? It's not the alarm and recently I have had to jump start it twice on two separate occasions. The alarm only goes off when i start the engine, but there no immobiliser or loss of performance. Its a 53 plate 3.2 MV6.

Had same problem, disconnected alarm sounder. As this has an internal battery that is charged from the main, could be that it is not recharging properly and still sounding off. As everyone seems to say just disconnect and do away with. See what happens, no expert though, so could be completely wrong.
