I'm convinced that insurance companies think of a number, double it, then depending on what the guy on the phones having for tea that night add or subtract a few quid.  >:(

I've been rather lax with the insurance on wifeys car for quite a number of years now. So much so, that I pay under £300 for my zafira 1.6 (with all the bells and whistles) and she pays nearly £500 for her megane 1.6. She does more miles but only 3000.
Aviva will be getting a hard time come April.

Think I was £529 for both Omegas, both with declared mods, both with 20k pa, both with business use.

Although, and I hate the wankword, its a postcode lottery

Yup, wrong post code here, a mile further up the road and it would be halved.

My 18 year old son who past his test in January was quoted £4590 fully comp(third party not offered) for a corsa breeze 1.0l and this is him starting his own policy and not driving on mine basicly totaly legal.
The thing that baffles me he can insure a disco 300tdi (2.5) for £3900 same again fully comp totaly legal so how can it be cheaper than a corsa and 1500cc bigger ??? ???.
For me to insure the corsa just for me £128 fully comp and for me as main driver and my son as occasional driver £3680.
So hes been told tae get a good job and i'll look into getting a tracker box fitted from the co-op insurance
