If they are not elected democratically just how did they get their jobs? Rumpuy, Barrosa, Schultz and there is another one just recently who also seems to be in charge.

I agree and most ex-soviet countries use the same voting system as we use to elect MEPs. This is deliberate so there is no personal links, you can only vote for parties. It stops independents as they are too dangerous, where they might have independent rather than party thoughts.  >:(

The EU is already moving towards a list of approved parties and have used racist parties like the BNP getting EU party funds as their excuse to do this. This is also reminiscent of the USSR where in theory anybody could stand for election, provided you belonged to the communist party and were considered suitable to be on the party list. The EU is deliberately anti-democratic as their rational is that was how Hitler was elected, but if you read the history of Hitler's rise to power, he got away with taking over the democratic machinery using the Reichstag fire and used this to suspend most democratic rights under the 1919 constitution. The EU is going to do the same with their engineered Eurozone crisis.  >:(

After the 2014 elections if UKIP do well it is going to be very interesting as they will start to be a real threat, so will the EU ban the part for the 2019 elections on the grounds of xenophobia or do the happily see the UK leave to get rid of UKIP, I suspect it will be the former.  >:(

When you have a maoist in charge with Barosso, there is no doubt in my mind that he is setting up the EUSSR and we either leave ASAP or will become a locked in suppressed satellite like the East European countries were in the USSR.  >:(

This is one of many reasons why I'm leaving the UK. Once freedom of speech is suppressed in the UK, I will have problems with the authorities in charge as I'm not easily shut up.  :-X

Most people cruise into bad situations, by thinking it will apply to everybody else. It is tragic to read how the Jews in WWII knew about the concentration camps, but still meekly walked to to the gas chambers, hoping for the best.  :(

Don't let democracy be extinguished in the UK by supporting and voting for UKIP.  :y :y :y

I think the other one you are thinking of is that odious Dutch Liberal MEP Guy Verhofstadt who always starts any talk about the UK by looking down his nose, followed by a load of snide comments where he hates the UK and its people. Still when all you country's claim to fame is a kid sticking his finger in a hole in a dyke and over priced tulip bulbs in the 17th, I guess there is plenty to be jealous of about Britain's glorious past.  :)

Look i`m pro-europe & I`ve just got thru my last packet of frost-bitten Tesco burgers.
So I know what horse shit looks like, if the EUSSR ever start throwing up concrete blocks of flats, I`ll be in the penthouse.  :y

The laws of my country have me gagged so I can't speak my mind (I'm 76 yrs old with a long memory)
There is in my opinion quiet a simple answer to German dreams of European dominance then world dominance
Making war TWICE did not work but looks to me as if German industrial/economic strength and British socialisam is going to do what 2 world wars failed to achieve to do
Hope I'm gone before my fears are realised
Love to have David's frank thought's after seeing him gven the cold shoulder after that meeting with dear Angela
She didn't do the same this last time had she done so that woud have been a dead giveaway
Nuff said rant over
