« on: 16 February 2013, 23:11:15 »

as said--Very major leak on drivers side-its not rocker covers-replaced last weekend-can see it pouring down from behind starter motor at rear of engine-any ideas of cause? or is the engine fubar? started late this afternoon-engine starts and runs sweet-but wont keep it running so as not to do more damage

Start with basics first, double check the cam cover gaskets are fitted correctly. Its quite easy to not get the half moons right, even just slightly wrong it will pish oil out.

You also did not confirm if you fitted genuine ones, along with correct sealant?

Oil pipes to oil-cooler run from passenger side (behind oil filter) up into vee (under inlet manifold).

If these were leaking they would lubricate the passenger side of the engine.

Pound to a penny it is one of the half moons on the back of the head that have stayed in place for a week before popping out.........
