Does the EU commission think we ars stupid?
« on: 23 February 2013, 15:01:30 »

I mean, are they really that far up their own arses?
In mid 2012, they forecast that the eurozone would grow by 0.7% in 2013. By December they had knocked that down to 0.1%.
Yesterday they forecast that the eurozone would shrink by 0.3% this year and, get this, grow by 1.4% in 2014.
2014? They don't have a bleedin clue what will happen next week. What makes them think that anyone will take any notice whatsoever of their wild guesses?
And yet...the news channels take it as gospel and broadcast it loudly. I think the world has really gone a bit potty.
Footnote:  Mohammed el-erian, a spokesman for PIMCO, the worlds biggest bondholder company, said you could add another 1% on top of the forecast. That's minus 1.3% this year.

Would anyone on here like to hazard a guess. If so, ring the BBC with your prediction. It will probably be on the 6 o'clock news.

Trouble is the BBC see the EU as our masters so will broadcast any old rubbish as gospel, as for the rest of us we just get ignored.

The EU Commission doesn't think we're stupid.
It KNOWS we are.

Do you want proof?

Easy, the EU is still going.

Trouble is the BBC are paid subsidies by their EU masters so will broadcast any old rubbish as gospel, as for the rest of us we just get ignored.

There you go I've fixed that for you.

Problem is all organisations do forecasts. Most people are too dim to remember the previous rubbish ones. If they do nothing ever happens. All you have to do is look at Osbornes rubbish forecasts. They are all at it.

Since 2008 the EU and all government followed the same formula:

First 6 months of the year bad, second half a bit better, following year a bit below long term average growth, the year after above average growth. So we have had 5 years so far of utter rubbish.  :(

A much more likely forecast for the next three years in the Eurozone is recession, recession, recession. The outlook for the UK for the next three years if we are lucky is stagflation, stagflation, stagflation with falling real wages.  :(
