Hard  ;D

From what I hear, cooling is the big issue. Very, very few have been done.

And not worth the agro. Bottom end can't cope with much more than 50bhp over stock.

Those useless retards at Courtney Sport used to do one for the 3.0l.  I've seen 2, both with a shagged bottom end, knocking like an Avon lady.

not impossible.. but not as easy as bolt on turbo and off you go..

new stronger bottom end, forged pistons (c20let pistons match) ) ,intercooler,  turbo, downpipes, low temperature thermostat, high flow injectors, custom ecu, mapping ,  different coolant pumps ( ??? ), bigger radiator..

nearly you built the car from scratch ;D  so you need a fat bank account.. or you drop another engine in..

dont know they choose the re-built option :-\  but it goes..

not impossible..
Indeed, its possible with sufficient money and resources.  But more cost effective to go out and buy a VXR8, which will be more powerful to start with, and offer scope for much further tweaking.

One of these days I will find out if a 2.3 Saab turbo will mate with the Omega gearbox. I may have to suspend it with bungee straps, owing to my distinct lack of engine mount fabricating equipment...

:)

EMD , most turbo installations I have seen on the net is around 0.4, 0.5 bar because of cooling and bottom end fears/problems.. Imo, these installations dont use the full potential of turbo..

After a bit of search , I learned that some steel companies here produce custom forged pistons and related stuff for reasonable money ("relatively") ..  But I'm not sure that with UK car prices it is feasible to do a full turbo conversion.. except some low pressure applications where engine is kept as it is..
