If you have chickens you can shoot it, as its worring you chickens, a fox is vermin, just shoot it and that be it.
when are townies and animal lovers going to realize that a fox is an Alpha predetor, and needs controling.

Agreed shooting is the best solution.  When I had the farm the b*ggers had my ducks - shot 3 of them one night :y

Found a fox in my chicken run tonight. Little git had killed one. Was right there in front of us I just didn't have something to hand to hit the feking thing with. If the rozzers are being a pain in the arse leave a steak out laced with rat poison. That will do the trick.Has we keep chucks and are planning on keeping more live stock I'm planning to apply for my gun license. Don't need nothing big a 4/10 should do the job. Oh and no I don't live in an estate.

As said shoot it. If you really dont want to get yourself some heavy duty chicken wire and some quick setting post cement Make a load of noise to scare the fox away from the hole then cover with chicken wire and pour the cement around the bottom of the wire to hopefully stop them digging underneath. Also check to make sure no other holes around the area because their normaly have a in and out.  :y

Box in the base of the shed with chicken wire and leave a gas heater on in the shed for a couple of days. The carbon monoxide should sort it with the minimum of fuss :-\
not allowed to discharge a shotgun in a built up area or it would be dead now

Why not? :P

ps a good .22 air rifle will kill it. c02 operated not the snap barrel type. :y By law you can shoot these on your land as long as shells dont leave your land. eg over the fence.
