Driver side door lock
« on: 03 March 2013, 19:46:04 »

Evening all i bought my car a few week ago and its just gone through the MOT with no problems but there a few little bits that i need help with. I need to get the drivers door motor as it doesnt work from the fob but did work on the key. I say did because up until tonight it was working fine but now will not unlock it so you have to jump in a pull it from the passangers side. If i replace the door motor will i need to replace the barrell aswell now?

Known good S/H is OK or replace the microswitches (guide in maintenance). Rear window mech, just a case of removing doorcard & drilling out the rivets (3 IIRC)

Thanks very much Rob. With regards to the rear window im assuming its the motor but when you try to operate it it just makes a bit of a grinding noise would you say the motor needs replacing or some thing else wrong?

With the doorcard & membrane removed do a visual & aural check of the motor whilst depressing the switch
