What a beautiful summers day.
« on: 05 March 2013, 17:37:04 »

No wind, no cloud, just beautiful sunshine. A lovely day.

Makes me think we might get a decent summer for once, but I'll keep such thoughts to myself.  :-X :D

...and, it 5.40 and not even dark yet.  :y

The only decent weather we had last year was the last two weeks in March, so don't start counting your chickens yet!  ::) ::) ::)

I agree, although we haven't had any exceptionally cold spells this winter it has been consistently several degrees below average since mid-October, which has made it feel like a very long winter.  :(

So roll on the hot weather and lets hope this year's spring and summer are better than last years.  :y :y :y

Yup, cycled in again today. No gloves for first time in ages, as it was so nice and warm. Cut through Gunnersbury park, was lovely  :)

Swmbo and me decided to go to the Odney Club (part of John Lewis, 120 acres by the Thames at Cookham). Had sandwitches, a bowl of chips, a pint of Bulmers. Then walked through the grounds, then over Odney Common to Cookham weir and lock........absolutely gorgeous....car gave a temperature of 16 degrees.
The ringneck parrakeets were screetching from their nest holes in the trees, it was idyllic....

I expect this will be classed as summer, after a couple of days of spring ;D ;D
