On the News, we are to provide equipment and vehicles; arming the rebels should not be ruled out............How can we afford to do this?

I could do with an armoured vehicle for some of the places I have to go for work, will they give me one?

Sorry ranting, but my blood is beginning to boil, I was surprised in the office today when the mildest of female clerks got her nickers in a twist about Immigrants using her dentist and she can't get an appointment, she led a developing conversation, I was quite shocked.....

They are to ferry all the Syrians to the docks for the RN to pick up and to bring them to England. 

From what I've read they are trying to stop Al Qaeda who have gone en-mass to Syria and have setup a very effective humanitarian operation to win the hearts and minds of the Syrian population. Apparently they were allowed to do this as the US providing support to the pro-Western rebels, did not fit the US Presidential elections timescale.

The are many rumours on the rebels now being armed with ex-Croatian arms via Jordan. It is thought the US is behind this.

All in all a big mess which I think Iran will probably win once Assad has gone, so whatever happens Iran will come out on top where they and the Russians currently back Assad.

Massive mistake, letting the Shar of Iran be deposed as he was bad, but what has replaced it is much, much worse and has destabilized the Middle East and Afghanistan. The question is what happens next with Iran's nuclear ambitions?

Iirc the Russians and Chinese vito on intervention in Syria was key. This could have been sorted months ago if it wasn't for thier vito in the UN. UK forces would have been involved at some point, along with numerous others.
