Thanks, chaps. :y

So.......... 75 divided by 4.55 = 16.48 gallons

So.....366 divided by 16.48 = 22.20 MPG. :-\

That is shit. :(

Lpg it then  :y

That suggestion may be worthy of consideration, Mr Gonads :y

Have you any room on your drive and a bit of time on your hands  ;)

Could be worth a punt if the price is right :-\
.

Tempting, if it isn't ****ed. How much for a new LPG kit?

About 700 sheckles for the kit iirc

The company who fitted it don't do a bad job tbh.
Its just a case of whether you can get the software to tune it to yours  ;)
As for the rest of the car, break it.
Keep what you want for yourself and sell the rest then weigh the shell in  :y

Mine runs very cool. I wonder if that has a detrimental effect on fuel consumption?

I should have asked Mark to change the thermostat while he was replacing the oil cooler. :-\ :-\

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. :-\

It will. The engine's temp sensor will keep telling the engine's ECU that the engine is cold & to keep the 'choke' on ...... thereby using more fuel.

Need to change mine as well, gauge hardly moves on my 11 mile commute ::)

Don't think he's doing kits any more. My front end cam from a fellow member and my tank etc from Tinley. Budget in getting it signed off and it comes out around 900 quid.

Mine was about £850 including building a raised floor and some bits that were changed because we were there ;) ;) Plus you had 2 inspections ;)

Teilo may or may not still be doing kits, he's just become too unreliable for me to recommend him any more but I'm willing to pass on his details for people to deal with him at their own risk ;)

290 from my last tank, so not too shabby tbh :y

 :o :o :o :o :o

I'd be very unhappy with that at LPG cost, let alone petrol  :o :o

Thats 18mpg & 33 pence a mile  :o

Better than I ever managed on petrol ;) ;)

Oh, and Opti... It's a good kit with lots of support and the software is readily available :y

................because I managed 366 miles from totally brimmed to the red light showing for the last 15 miles.

Lincolnshire to Powys and return. :y

483miles from 58.1L was our best. http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=43828.msg659559#msg659559
Admittedly from the far more economical 2.0.  :)

A lot must depend on the vehicle use. Most are at least 10 years old. If your mileage per year is less than the said average (4K last year)

The cost of installation along with the cost of lpg ignoring any government element of surprise and ownership period need to be throw into the equation.

Modern diesels seem to be a nightmare. Any costs saved soon disappear when repair costs are added.

Talking of lpg convertions  ::)
Any advise on petrol / lpg mapping with a auto box ?

Did mine 2 years ago with a manual with no real problems but is it the same with a auto ?
Had the plan of doing a shortish run with the gearbox selector in 2  :-\
That way I can drive the same route without the gearbox changing when it feels like it  >:(
Then adjusting it at very regular intervals with the laptop until its stable  :-\
Any thoughts welcome  :)

I normally just go for a drive on petrol, then the same on LPG. Adjust, delete and repeat on LPG. Then turn on auto adaption ::)
