Mine has developed a fault, The outdoor sensor's red light is constantly on, It doesn't blink now and then like it should, The main indoor unit doesn't pick up the outdoor sensor signal. Nothing to do with batteries.  :-\

Buy cheap buy twice comes to mind  ;D ... Oh well was good while it lasted.

Looks like the damp wet weather finished it off on my unit. Then again I'm pretty sure it is an outdoor sensor  ??? ;D :-\

I seem to recall at the time that the battery compartment didnt look all that waterproof to me.
Hence why I screwed mine to facia board directly underneath the guttering (easy to do with a 1 storey extension out the back)

Would be interesting to see if it was water damage inside it......doesnt work now so if you dont feel like using a screwdriver to take it apart a hammer will suffice  ;D

Aye will try and open it and put the hair dryer on it if everything looks ok. At some point.

Yeah it doesn't look like it has good waterproofing.. I've got a £40 type in the bedroom bought 2 years ago, Still going strong Oregon or something the brand on that one.
