deep purple-brilliant in the early 70,s.....led zeppelin-over rated imo.
Gillan had one hell of a voice in those days, saw him with Sabbath in 83, what a letdown.
preferred ronnie james dio at sabbath ,started going to gigs in the mid 70's best decade for british rock/heavy metal
remember going to the first monsters of rock at donnington what a hazey day that was 10 of us camping in a transit van
god i miss the good ol'days
long live rock and roll
by the way does  anybody recognise the lyrics in my sig :'( :'( :'( :'( :y
Good but not a patch on Ozzy though.
the older sabs songs didn't suit dio but the stuff he wrote and sang are priceless
the same thing goes for ozzy with like s of changes, iron man sweetleaf etc not forgetting faries wear boots  his later stuff also suits him  but he will never find another tony iommi
has any one heard or seen a band called dumpys rusty nuts
a bit like bad manners meet motorhead  saw them at the tiv in buckley 1990 supporting hawkwind

Yep we booked em for a do years ago when I was in a bike club.
Can't remember a lot about em as I was busy running the door but from what I can remember they were pretty good.

Why I can highly recommend the new LK service area opened up just off the A500. Coffee's good and the prices very reasonable even if the waiter looks a bit suspect. ;D
Called there the other day on me way back from Leamington to find Elite Pete already sampling the wares availible.
