Sky 2TB Box
« on: 20 March 2013, 00:02:21 »

Any one know what sky charge for them?

Mine looks like its FUBAR.  Pic went off whilst recording, un plugged it and reset it, switches power LED from red to green ok but still no picture.

Options are dump sky and start using freesat or upgrade to 2TB box :-\

Why not call them out for the one off fee for...£60 is it?

Btw I had this a month or so ago. It took 6 attempts to re boot it. But we came to an understanding in the end. ::)

Call them and state you need to cancel the contract as the box has failed and you are unable to afford the repair.

They will be out with a free replacement rather than lose your monthly wedge

Am so bored.  Dont actually watch that much TV during the day, but am missing having in on when I want it.

Suppose I ought to get some house work done and put the old radio on.  ::)

I have. But . . . when the Sky was installed, the guy pulled the coax out and left it outside, and pulled the sky cable though the same hole.   So not impressed. :-\

Well finally got the box to work, left it unplugged from the mains for a few hours, but it took a while for it to pick up on the signals once it was powered back up, but all seems ok now.
