Osram Headlight Bulbs...
« on: 20 March 2013, 18:10:44 »

I've currently got fitted Night Breaker Plus on dip and main beam... Was just wondering are there any brighter bulbs out there as after going to see many cars for sale and driven them with Xenon's fitted i find them somewhat week on dip their fine on main beam. ?

Are Osram Cool Blue Intense any better ?

Generally the bluer the bulb, the lower the light output for a given bulb.  Particularly so for HIDs

The blue ones are made to annoy other drivers, not so you can actually see.

I would have thought so was just checking  :)

I Have the headlight adjusters as high as they will go and they are just OK as said main beam is fine if anything very good for Halogen better than any car i've had before, But most of the time dip is the light is used the most and on the twisty roads a real must to have good lights  :-\  ...Am going to try and restore the headlights lenses to see if that will improve things slightly also.

If the headlamp outer glass/perspex (whatever it is :-X)is cloudy it will affect light output,a good rub with G3 compound should bring them back :y

Have bought something similar just waiting for it to be delivered  :y

Can anyone recommend a better bulb for dip or is Osram as good as it gets for Halogen ?

I think the Osram night breakers are about as good as it gets with standard bulbs :-\
