Well I received the water pump today from buypartsby and I'm not sure whether or not to be disappointed or not due to receiving a different brand from what I ordered which was a QH pump but I've received a CD "Continental direct" pump  ???

Personally I've never had a problem with them - but if they're any good they should resolve your complaint in order to  enhance their reputation - let us know their response ;)

But have found out a way to email them just in case i get the same response on the phone tomorrow..

Either way this pump is going back!.. Has this happened to anyone else and has anyone had any luck with this CD brand ?

The CD brand is in fact Contitech - their timimng belt kits are recommended on here - I've fitted 3 sets now with no issues whatsoever.  Believe all their kit (incl waterpumps) are made to OE standards, but have no practical experience of their waterpumps.

Their website - http://www.continental-direct.com/

Well i've never been so bloody frustraded (for a while anyway) Called them some 10-15 times trying to get an answer and eventually got someone and told them i was expecting a QH pump and they said "QH has gone into administration so you'd struggle to get any QH parts" and said "the CD continental pump is just as good if not better" and i've got to send the bloody thing back they dont do collections... >:(

QH went into administration in early Feb, so not news. :-\

They should have told you that when you ordered it, assuming of course that you actually spoke to a real live person :-\

Should also put summat on their website along lines of 'We do not guarantee to supply parts from a particular manufacturer, but can assure customers that any part supplied as an alternative is of at least the same quality' or some such gumpf :-\
