I have just completed the London to Paris leg of a journey that will next take me to Abidjan and San Pedro in the Ivory Coast, West Africa.
It is quite strange that Air France UK were fantastic in the customer service area (my father died last week and having made all arrangements for the funeral at the end of next week I had to change my return date - another story for sometime later) and were most helpful.
However, on getting to Paris on Air France and continuing with them to West Africa just a couple of observations.
1. How can my shave foam get thru Heathrow and not Paris - it said 125ml on pack but it is half empty. They asked me to check it in when I travel only with hand luggage. I obviously let them have it.
2. There was a queue at AF customer service and one person only serving. A second person came we thought to deal with queue but no - just to relieve first person. So queue remained. I went past about an hour later and 4 AF persons at customer service and no customers whatsoever.
3. I decided to have a salmon lunch in terminal. They took order, brought food, and insisted I had to surrender my boarding pass until I had returned the knife THEY had given me.
4. The whole of terminal 2e M closes at about 2pm - they have done 8 hours so they go home leaving investment unused for rest of day.
A strange experience although they just changed the gate and told me via text which was neat.
