As long as it's a bought and paid for forum copy and not a pirate, then I can't see the problem. The forum has had it's slice of the profit and it now belongs to the seller to pass on as he sees fit.

I sell cosmetics at knock down prices and know full well that other eBayers sell them on at a higher price -- as long as I get what I wanted for them I am not concerned.

And, as mentioned above, the publicity can't do any harm at all.

tbh i don't really see a problem here, he has sold his Omega, and like spare parts, he does not need it anymore.

Bidding started at 0.99

Its not as if he is selling the dvd £9.99 buy it now.

and it could potentially bring new members to the forum with the free advertising on the disc

We seem to do OK on word of mouth - not sure we need ebay?

I recognise that number plate from somewhere. :-/

What we don't want is someone knocking out copies of the DVD on ebay, however.

Despite presumably being a member here he still thinks the cam belt interval is 80k / 8 years. :o

Hmmmm, not sure it should be re-sold on eBay, just hope it doesn't end up getting duplicated and sold multiple times.  >:(

Kev - re the number plate.

My star silver facelift was a W*** ONV - but different to that one. Maybe that's what you're thinking?

Very True ----- I assume the artwork is correct. If this person was knocking out copies I would have imagined he would have designed his own artwork, not having access to the original art folders. So, correct artwork would indicate an authentic disc, bought from the forum.

Yes, I'm sure that one probably is original, but who knows what the purchaser will do with it?

Maybe the artwork is on the original ad but the copies go out via blank TDK Cds?

Ultimately, (and this may have happened) It would only be morally right to request Mark's permission before putting this on ebay -

If this didn't happen - it's unethical, regardless of whether it's legal or not.

Well the only way to find out if it's going to be a copy or not is for someone to buy it.... as long as we don't all bid against each other!!!!!

I don't recall any members from Stratford and it's only about 10 miles from me......

'fraid I agree 100% with tunnie - look on the positive side, its proving its got great value.

I still maintain that if an unethical seller got hold of it then it could ruin the potential to make something towards the forum running costs.

Once something gets on ebay en-masse, everyone generally starts selling it for 1p a go...

Now we are facing the simple realities of the potential of pirating of our Intellectual Property.

Piracy is a bugger ain't it?
