Big game for my local team  Southend Utd tonight .

Playing Doncaster in play off semi 1st leg.

Can't get there but will be watching with much interest on SKY Sports, with a few bevvies at hand.

0 - 0 half time Debs -- Good game though -- we need at least one goal to take to Doncaster for the 2nd leg i would think !

Let`s hope a suck on that half-time lemon will put the winning legs back under those Sa`fend shrimpers.  

They`ll be hoping to win on aggregate at Doncaster: not as soft as grass; `lots of grazed knees I`d imagine.

The Royal Artillery and the Green Jackets were both here during the 70's as I remember.

I seem to remember one guy big fella like me - think his name was "Geordie "Scammell-  he beat the cr#p outta me one night - I was only 17 then.   No bad feelings 'bout it  now though

I`ve been to Shoeburyness a couple of times; a company I used to work for (which made things that went [size=14]kaboom[/size]!) used the Qinetiq testing-range there.

the names familiar we must be simular age i was only 17 in 72 when there and yes debs i knew few of the people that used to sit there timing them thing that went kaboom as they went over there heads
