The time has come to start fundraising for this year's main triathlon event on my calendar. I am competing in Ironman: Wales in support of Scope. This is a milestone for me on the way to qualifying for Ironman: Kona, a 12+ Ironman journey over several years after which I will qualify for the raffle. Raising money for these events keeps me motivated on those dark days. I will battle with problems along the way, feeding will be difficult as my guts are sensitive enough but it is very important to get it right, I am also doing the hardest Ironman with over 2000m of climbing on the bike alone.
I will be giving updates on my training and progression over the spring and summer in the build up to the event. I shall attempt to make it as light hearted as I can as well as taking my camera on my training sessions. Dig deep, even if you can only spare a few coppers, I don't mind.
