CCR 2006 Problem?
« on: 16 April 2013, 18:50:02 »

I have a CCR 2006 in my MV6. I use the traffic program.

So a traffic message comes through, and I cancel it with the bottom button left hand side on the steering wheel.
It turns the message off and goes back to the radio.

All fine and dandy.

BUT, it randomly goes to a different station. Is that because I have it on Radio 2 and it is trying to tell me something? :P :P :P

Does it occasionally stick on the (BBC) station that was broadcasting traffic?

If you don`t want the TA messages, then turn the function off.

If the broadcast takes a while to return to the previous station, its often because the broadcasting station have not yet turned off the function at the studio at the end of the message. Nothing to do with the radio.

If you do not cancel the message part way through, does it still return back to original station afterwards? As I think your radio is actually retuning as you are hitting the button and telling it too.

Pilot error I think   :-\

I do want want the TA messages. But if I am in Leeds I dont want Sheffield or Hull, so I turn them off!

That is when the problem arises. It usually reverts to Radio 2, but sometimes will go to Radio 1 or a non BBC station.

If I listen to the complete message I think it does go back to Radio 2 every time.

Definiletly not pilot error. My old car worked fine and I have had that for 5 years so I know what I am doing. :P :P
