As above, it is beyond me as to how anybody can think it an acceptable way to treat others by publicly dissing and derriding items for sale posted on this site (or any other site).

To start putting put comments like 'I think you are asking too much for those' is just not fair on the seller. Particularly when the individuals have no interest in actually buying the item and are little more than pub-talk 'experts'.

Yes this is a forum but there are the forum areas.

If you are REALLY that concerned there is this little feature called PM where you could message the seller to kindly suggest that maybe the price is way off or there is unlikely to be much of a market for the item in question. Now that WOULD be a more caring sharing forum. I guess it doesn't give you quite as much of an ego boost but it is SO much more helpful.

You know who you are - you should have your buy/sell privilages taken away and be made to drive a Granada.

Me too, how you can try and charge someone £50 plus delivery for something that should be thrown in the bin especially on a forum who's members may have given you free advice is beyond me. I don't normally comment on items for sale but yours shocked me. Now can I suggest you put the bottle down and go to bed, the drink has made you brave beyond your capabilities ;D ;D ;D

On my other forum a person was selling a set of wheels and tyres, the same wheels I have on the Astra, most comments where along the lines of to expensive. I replied saying my wheels had actually cost more than what this person was asking, basically in support of seller.
I received the PM like all the others saying not to comment on for sale ads.

So I have since never commented on anyones for sale ads since that time.

As for selling parts that some people think are rubbish. There is a seller near me selling second hand discs and pads for an Astra, he stated something like pads have about 3mm left on them so good for a few thousand miles. Personally not for me, but maybe useful to someone. One mans rubbish is anothers treasure or words to that effect.

Also if it annoys you so much, why did you not use the PM system and contact them direct. Why make a big song and dance in public?

FWIW, the genuine arms are better finished than all the pattern ones that I've seen, heavier as well, which would imply thicker material, making them a better starting point for refurbishment :-\

I would agree with that, its then down to the seller and potential buyer to come to a price together, its no-one else's business but theres :)

Not very OOF is it? Charging someone £60+ in effect for something that's shagged?

True off spirit of OOF would be free, if collected or post cost only. For someone to then poly them up.  :y

Loads of other threads have had discussions, on the cost whats on offer:
