lpg project 3.0 mv6
« on: 19 April 2013, 03:34:12 »

Hi guys. After a bit of advice really. I have recently removed my lpg system from my old omega which was a 2.5 v6. I am now wanting to fit this system to my 3.0l mv6. It is a landi renzo kit and I need to know what are the best nozzles to fit to the manifold and where to buy them from. Have read the how to guide on here about sizing them but it doesnt really tell me what I wanted to know in plain english. Should I fit 2.8mm or 3.0mm nozzles? And where would I buy them from?
I am going to use the flexy pipe to run from the rear to the front of the car but what connectors do I use to connect to the tank and to the vapouriser? Also what size should the flexy pipe be? This is going to be a summer project for me as I am going to take the car off the road until my new (banana yellow) diesel dies.

ive got a landi renzo system here to fit to my mv6, any problems with wiring etc i have the pin outs for the ecu etc, pipe from front to back comes in two sizes, 6mm and 8mm, 6mm is ok for most instalations upto 190bhp and whats fitted to mine but is the copper type, for tank and vapporizer its normally compression or flared fittings, again sizes are pretty standard, the nozzles shouldnt make much difference as most lpg injectors are what are sized. just have to make sure the holes drilled right, saying that id of thought your one already drilled should transplant across to other, it is more a software issue you have that the ecu needs reprogramming to keep injector times open longer to allow a little more gas in for the bigger engine, not the end of the world and software available readily on internet, i use tiney tech for any bits when i do a system change as very good with prices   http://www.tinleytech.co.uk/acatalog/Spares_and_accessories.html   is there catologue, any other probs i may of missed give me a pm, also tinly techs site has a nozzle size guide, some kits a 2.8mm fine others the 3.0 needed

Thanks adey. I was thinking that the manifolds should just swap straight over. But someone on here told me that the 2.5 and 3.0 are different. I would have thought it would just be the petrol injectors that are different so would just have to s2ap them over. I had a copper pipe running from front to back in the old car just wanted to use flexy as it would be easier to run.
I will go with 8mm then to be on the safe side. Better for it to be to big than not big enough. I have seen some program kits on ebay for the landi renzo omegas system do you reckon thats what I need to get to reprogram the lpg ecu?  :y
