Help with V6 Idel control Valve Please

Could someone with a V6 possible do a me a favour. 

I could do with some to remove their idle valve and see if the path for air is completely closed when the car is switched off. 

I think mine might be broken, to get the car to idle the valve has a duty cycle of 38%, that’s fine, but I remember looking into it with it disconnected from the car and seeing that the valve is partly open, and can be blown through.  So I think mine might be broken?

Could someone please confirm that the valve should be completely shut when not powered, I’m going to the rolling road on Friday and if mine is broken I need to bodge the valve shut for the mapping session, particularly on light load low rpm, when one side might have more air than the other!

There should be a small opening visable when off, about 1-2mm gap.

This is when on the end stop, as it rotates, the air passage passes a fully closed section before then starting to open upto full open.

Thanks mark, thats what mine seems to do, this gives me a bit of a problem, the canema ECU will simple switch it off above a certain rpm so if on light throttle there will be more air in one plenum than the other :(

You might be able to adjust the end stop.

If you look at the side there is a nylon plug, behind this I recall there being an adjustment which alters the end stop.
