Behind the ashtray?
« on: 09 May 2013, 18:43:58 »

As a matter of intetest, when you remove the ashtray is there a void behind it, or is it 'blocked off'?
Either way, is there an opportunity to run small cables through towards the back of the dash?

I know, just being lazy  ::)
My car's at home so can't check right now, and the light bulb has only just come on in my head about running the cables  :D

Depends on the cables :-\ once you've got the ashtray out, you'll need to remove the radio mounting frame (the bit the cage sits in), and the wood trim. Then you'll be able to see what's what. Not that much room to run much of anything behind there :-\

Not at all  :)
I run a power cable and an audio cable to my phone holder but its not that tidy.
Just thought it was an idea, but sounds like hassle! I'll just route them a bit better  :y
