new 3.0 ex-police car tax

morning all
i am just trying to find information regarding the car tax band for my new purchase...?? i have got to go to the dvla office to have the registration taxation class changed from disabled to plg... >:(
but i cant seen to find out what the price of 6 months road tax will be... ???
the car was first reg: on the 1st march 2001..but my car engine size does not appear on the dvla site for taxation.. 2.6v6 is the highest on there for that year..?
im confused...does anyone else have the same car..? if so how much will road tax set me back... :)

Anything after 1st March is emissions based so circa £280 :-\

Band K* .. registered on or after 1 March 2001 but before 23 March 2006

£280 a year £154 for 6 months .. :)

Ridiculous! Should be able to do this at the Post Office!  >:(

I bought a car last year that was an ex-motability and my nearest DVLA office is 30 miles away!!! What a faff!!  ::)

you can go from PLG to disabled at the post office but not tother way round,bizarre ::)

Correct the idea is to make it easy for Disabled people to get Tax, and stop Non Disabled people driving around with Disabled Taxed Car after the have bought the car.  ;)

Forced re Registration of the Vehicle and new Owner.

It'll be further than that by the end of the year. They are supposed to be closing all the DVLA offices and moving it all to Swansea.

Just a quick update..... chenged registration document to plg..quick and easy :) although the staff could do with a sense of humour.. ;D
an easy way to part with £123.75 6 months :y :y this surprised me 8) i was expecting to part with £154.00 :y :y :y

3.2 around the same time would have been £154.
