If the mileage is genuine and its rust free, then a weekend cleaning and polishing would make it into a stunner again.
I still maintain they were the best full production car VX have ever made.

 Agreed :y :y :y.

I doubt the S6 could hve complied with modern emissions regs. The V6 also has one big advantage as its a very compact engine so can sit well back in the chassis and therefore gives a distinct handling advantage.
As a stand alone engine though, the S6 was a superior engine altogether imo.It could be tuned to nearly 400bhp and still be perfectly useable for everyday driving, whereas theres not much point trying to tune a V6 much more than standard as the bottom end is a  bit marginal even in standard form.

Must admit I always preferred the Senator-I've had 2 of the B's both 12v models-to the Mig and still do.Just can't bring myself to pay anywhere close to 2 grand for a car though.

The rear arch which can be seen in the picture looks rust free, however the 'orange peel' on it tells me it's probably been painted, can see it more if you zoom in. Although it could be a trick of the picture. Still a cracking car though.
