Service items, where to buy?
« on: 13 May 2013, 23:03:01 »

I'm going to give my new Omega a decent service (oil, oil filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, pollen filter, air filter).. just wondering where's the best place to buy the items from? I've bought from my local Vauxhall dealer in the past, is this my best bet? Thanks in advance

Just having a wee look on eBay, is this worth a purchase?

Keith B, a member on here is doing a very good deal on service kits at the moment. Also AndyC will give good prices. Both will supply genuine GM parts.
Send a personal message to either of them. :y
Or join Autobahmstormers (£25 p.a.) and get a trade club card which will allow you to get many parts from a lot of VX dealers at reduced prices, including an excellent deal on GM 10/40 semi synth oil.

I tend to stick to GM parts for service items - mainly due to cost, as I have Trade Club access, but some items are just so much better than the pattern ones. Air filters being an obvious one.

So for filters, plugs and oil, I'd recommend GM via Tradeclub. If you don't have Tradeclub, and don't want to pay for it, try Andy C on this site for GM parts are TC prices :)
