i was car shopping with mr magoo today ( the old man) as he gets a bit confussed etc so we went to viking canterbury as hes looking at a B series there well hes brought it now, hes happy with it i think, not what i would have recommended but very hard to explain things to him :D :D :D, dealer smelt a deal as this was his 3rd visit so only offered 250 off a 10k car and then took that back to extend the warrenty from 6 months to a year ffs.

anyway tried my luck at part exing the miggy thought i may at least get him 1k off nope 350 ;D ;D :o :o
made the old fella laugh anyway :D :D only took us 3 hours to buy the car ;D ;D but at least mr magoo now knows that the salesman is called richard and not chriss...chriss was the bloke at another garage.

an eventful day :D :D ;) :)

......

B series merc :-[

Have you driven one? I was lent one for the day as a courtesy car. I couldn't wait to give it back.

Besides the fact it had a pedal too many, the ride was very hard. I suppose it could've been a 'sport' model  ???  ??? (I quite liked the 'hold' function the foot brake though ...... makes a hill start redundant  ;))

quite right there Andy spent best part of half hour trying to explain to mr magoo about low profile tyres which this one has, even managed to get the dealer to change the wheels if he wanted. But  in the old mans words They may give me dodgy tyres if I do that ::) ;D ;D This one is an auto 1.7. Anyway hes got it now well collects Friday.

I was there to advise so he could ignore me  :D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Bless him, for some unknown reason he started wearing a man bag ;D bit like a sachtel, i think its got his name and address in it in case he gets lost. looks a bit like paddinington bear but without the child freindly softness  ;D ;D its caught a few people out as they have gone to give him a hug :o :D ;D
