Pot Holes
« on: 26 May 2013, 12:42:15 »

Im getting fed up of the pot holes and its not just in my surrounding area its everywhere  >:( Ive reported all the ones that i can and that was 4 months ago and no repair work done  >:( >:( What the hell is going on with no road repairs ? Just seems they wont repair anything , the roads that dont have any pot holes are all surface worn and cracked . Having already suffered damage of £200 to a previous car it looks like they have just given up any kind of road repair but thought they had to repair it if it was reported  ::)

perhaps a symptom of how skint the country really is?

I'm seriously wondering whether to get a 4x4 - just to cope with the "roads"

Or move to a village where all the roads get repaired and resurfaced , 4x4 is a good idea  :(

The roads haven't been properly repaired since the severe winters of 2009 and 2010.

The cut's in council budgets will mean more of the same. :-\

........and indeed they had not been well maintained, with regular resurfacing, for some considerable time before that. :P :P

Drive around a fair bit, from London, Northants to Wales. Also on bike Scotland and such, so far Wales & Scotland appear to have best roads.

No long-term gain without short-term pain Rolf.
The extra platform will soon allow a half-hourly train service direct to the capital city for ya. ;)

Add-in low fares and friendly staff ...  :y
