« on: 28 May 2013, 18:21:51 »

 Evening guys
Right, bit of a long shot but can any body give me some advice, misses just broken the door latch on the bloody washing machine, ok no water inside and door is closed shut unable to open, latch looks impossible to get to without breaking the door or turning the bloody thing over and taking it to bits but I don't think it will go back the same way, you know some bolts left sort of thing .... HELP!  :'( :'( :'(

Try setting it on a spin cycle or a rinse cycle to see if it will reset keep an eye on it though for any leaks from the door seal

Take the top off the machine, normally 4 pozi screws and look down the front should see the catch hole, screwdriver or similar poked in should release door.
if step 1 fails.
Step 2 hit wit no1 adjustment tool, then buy new machine ;D

Hotpoints normaly have some screws behind little plastic covers which allow the top panel to be removed.

From memory, remove the covers and screws and then the panel slides and can be lifted off

just use it as an excuse to buy a new machine.  chances are that the bearing will fail soon anyway. seems typical on shitepoint
