And very nice it is too
Started in Monmouth and went as far over as Bridgend, via Caldicott. Some very nice (very narrow/steep/windy) roads. Would have been a touch less stressful in a car though
Best bit: the drive to Caldicott from Monmouth, very scenic
Worst bit: the hour it took to get from the A470/M4 junction to Radyr due to random 7.5t weight limits
journey out from there took five minutes
. Running out of hours twenty minutes from base was almost as frustrating
All in all, I liked what I saw, met several friendly people and it was a balmy 25° and glorious sunshine all day
If any one is considering the trek, my only suggestion would be to take the car/motorbike, leaving the 26t truck at home
Did consider popping into Seths for lunch, but wanted to get home before Sunday
Ps which Newent is the Meet at? I now know of two, one near Newton, tother more or less between Gloucester and Bath...
