Lovely engine, depends on year what auto box it has and of course the rust on the arches of the early models.  lots of buying advice on the Merc forums.

You don't buy a 5 litre V8 & worry about fuel consumption  ;)  ;)  ;)

There is a very nice example barely ten miles from me. This one wears the AMG badge, but I believe it's just fancy bits of extra kit.

It would come with 12 months M.O.T, and for what it's worth, a 3 month R.A.C warranty.

He originally wanted £5295.....then £4695.......now £3995.

Without an appropriate adult to rein me in, I'm vulnerable. ;) ;D ;D

Well you say that, but those cars new cost £60k+

One Mr Opti is looking at is £3,995, a staggering fall in value. Same as a used Ford Focus, easily bought for that kind of money. But fuel use is why they are cheap!

Even professional install say £2k, on £4k Merc, means you get a £60k car which is quite cheap to run :)

......... and £2k is 200 tanks of fuel. That's a lot of miles in a ''boy's toy'' before you even begin to pay back the cost of the install.  ;)  ;)

Depends if you use it as an every day car, Entwoods install was around that cost, he has more than paid it back.

Few people here are considering VXR8's and LPG would be a must-be.

Its very easily to clock up miles, even when not commuting.
