OK, what makes one?
My last car was a Mini Cooper S ( supercharged version ) but it was blue with a white roof and white wheels. My work colleagues all decided it was definitely a hair dressers car.
My 2.0 supercharged SLK seems to have avoided similar criticism in the same group.
With a restricted budget ( having just lobbed out a not insignificant amount on the wife's car and bearing in fact I only do 14 miles per day ) is there a small, cheep to buy, potentially convertible, reasonably quick, reliable, comfortable vehicle that is not classed as a 'hair dressers car'?
The mini was quick, handled like a go-cart and sound fantastic when the supercharger was spinning yet is predominantly driven by women it would seem.
The Mercedes is a much more civilised car, still quick and cheep to buy and I much preferred its build and finish to a Z4.
Just interested. I couldn't give a flying f**k either way, the MB is lovely, smooth, quick. The Mini was raucous and uncomfortable and I'm getting old lol
