I don't tend to venture into genchat these days but the thread title drew my attention. Very shocked to be honest,difficult to know what to say.
Having met Paul and his lovely wife Jane,I hope for both their sakes that the doctors can fix his problems.It sounds very serious,but we all know that modern medicine can often work near miracles these days,and hopefully that's what they will be able to do for Paul.
Hes a big softy with a heart of gold,despite his constant clowning around.He heard my wife was not at all well last year and out of the blue a huge bouquet of flowers was delivered for her the very next day courtesy of him and Jane.I was astonished at the kindness of two people who we had met only once about a year previously. A rare thing in todays world and very touching to say the least.
Jane,our thoughts are with you and Paul at this very difficult time and as others have already said,if you need anything,just log on to OOF and ask.
